Artist Statement

I make art as an expression of emotions which are raw, information in spiritual context, and communicating with color and texture. The art is very process driven and intuitive. The work may begin as a sketch but more frequently as a base layer of collage. My art is experimental and adventurous, reflecting much of my approach to life. There is joy in experimentation and combining a variety of media. The colors and shapes of the natural world serve as an abundant source of starting points.
